Flickernail

The flickernail glosses my eye

In subtle caressing hues

That whisper shimmerings to the shadows,

Those silhouetted wings within gossamer,

Those secret shivers within the sliver;

They are the beckoning fears of the quiet quiver

For the smears that bind, like wet lashes of

A trembling eye, are the same that

Protect from the

Wanderings of a soul searching to die

For the shaking that eases

Is the weakness that binds

And the flickernail knots

Me weak…
