Do you want to begin again?
The holidays and winter months are my favorite time of the year for writing, painting, and casting new visions for new possibilities in the new year. In this workshop, I’ll walk you through my process for starting the year fresh and alive.
As always, The Writer’s Workshops are designed to be simple and minimal. The workshops consist of a 90-minute Zoom session, which ends with a time of Q&A. The Q&A’s always go longer than expected, so bring your questions. I love working through them with you!
When you purchase the workshop, you get unlimited access to the Zoom recording. I’ve intentionally kept the price point low and when you pre-register, you get an even deeper discount of 40%.

Creativity gathers energy from clarity of mind, body, and soul. What are you doing to nourish yourself as a creative? You can’t write from zero. You need to be filled constantly. I’ll share some of my secrets for staying vivified and vivacious even in the winter months when it’s easy to make excuses for not being creative.
-
Free yourself from the guilt of failures and mess-ups. Starting over is an act of the will. It’s easy to give in and not go on. But it takes a creative fighter to leave the hard times behind and keep going, reaching for a new start. And you are that creative fighter.
-
We live in an age that wants to squash hope and dash the light to bits. It wants to keep you quiet. It wants to silence your roar. But it didn’t count on you putting it all on the table. It didn't count on you letting loose. You’re about to surprise the world, even yourself.
-
Should you have writing goals? That depends on how you work and what inspires you to keep at your craft. I’ll talk about my own rhythms and tell you why I don’t bother with daily word counts. We’ll talk through what it looks like to establish a writing rhythm that breathes life into your soul.
-
The Q&A sessions have turned into a beautiful time of interaction and discovery—it’s the gem of the live session. Anything goes as it relates to writing, book proposals, the industry, you name it. Bring your questions and let’s have some fun.
-
We are slowly building a special writing community. There are all kinds of writer’s boot camps, masterclasses, and communities out there. The Writer’s Workshop community gathers to discuss writing for the love. We want to hone our craft, tell better stories, inspire readers, and connect with like-minded creatives. Does this sound like your cup of tea? Then pour some, and join us on January 20, 2024.
“If you find yourself asking yourself (and your friends), "Am I really a writer? Am I really an artist?" chances are you are. The counterfeit innovator is wildly self-confident. The real one is scared to death.”
— Steven Pressfield, The War of Art

Lewis under the supervision of renowned theologian Alister McGrath. He is currently working on a book that explores C.S. Lewis’s aesthetics with a university press.
He lives in the charming southern town of Waxhaw, North Carolina, with his wife, Christine, his three daughters, Lyric, Brielle, and Zion, and their shaggy Goldendoodle named Cash (yes, after Johnny).
